Sunil – The Jaycee

Served on JCI’s Strategic Planning Committee during 1994. Advisor to World President, 1994.

As JCI Vice President, rewarded with the prestigious assignment to serve as Vice Chairman of Future of Children Committee at the International Model United Nations by JCI at UN HQ, New York, USA, attended by over 60 countries.

As JCI EVP, Sunil was awarded the most unique assignment to serve as the Officer, at the Global Conference on Environment at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, during the most historic Earth Summit, of 1992.

Sunil’s contribution to NALANDA – JCI’s National Academy of Leadership is incomparable. He redesigned this most important program, several times, to rank it as the most prominent and eagerly awaited event of JCI India. Faculty on Eleven occasions with Pilot Trainer on Five occasions, including the most recent, 30th year of NALANDA, held during August, 2021 at New Delhi – rated as the top class Nalanda of JCI India.

Founder and Pilot trainer of FIVE Advanced Leadership Academies of JCI India – VEDA – Vision, Experience, Desire, Application – 2001 to 2005.

• Served as State President of AP State Jaycees – Bagged most National Awards including Best State President

• 1985 EVP and 1985 National Vice President of Indian Jaycees. Led portfolio of Training – Launched National Graduate Program; National Leadership Camps and Hindi National Train the Trainer Program.

• Authored several publications on Management; Trainer; and more.

• 1989-90National President of JCI India. Presidential Academy is his major initiative. Authored its first manual. Sunil introduced Business Networking to Indian Jaycees. Published the FIRST Jaycee Yellow Pages. He founded KAMAL PATRA, Professional Excellence Award.

• As NP – Chaired that fantastic Convention at Calicut with over 2000 delegates. Ten Outstanding Young Indians witnessed achievers including PT Usha;PankajUdhas and many more prominent Leaders.

• Led large delegations to Yokohama and Birmingham where Indian Jaycees bagged many awards. FIRST TIME India was presented 100% EFFICIENCY Award.

• World Vice President of 1991, elected at Puerto Rico. Visited Australia; New Zealand; Tahiti; New Caledonia and Fiji, his assigned countries. Addressed several Chambers of Commerce meetings. Interacted with many mayors and heads. Conducted Training programs, globally.

• World Executive Vice President of 1992, elected at Helsinki, Finland. Chairman of the Area Conference in Harare.

• Sunil’s role as the Trainer at JCI India is most significant and continues to retain his flavor as an innovative and comprehensive trainer. Some of his major tasks included the following:

• Faculty at the 1984 NTTTS.

• Faculty at the 1985 JCI International Train the Trainer Program (TROT) at Kathmandu.

• As India’s first certified Head Coach, Sunil conducted 9 JCI Excel Coaching Programs. Introduced AUTHORING to EXCEL, first in JCI history. Also faculty at EXCEL in USA, France, Taiwan.

• Conducted over 18 National; Area & State Train The Trainer Programs.

• Conducted over 100 Training Programs for Presidents; Officers; Zone and National Officers.

EVENTS OF JCI INDIA: Envisioned and architected the most historic, glamorous and declared among the best events of JCI India – the 100th year Celebrations at Hyderabad in 2015. His role in organizing four National Conventions with special status apart from various other events like VEDA; EXCEL; NALANDA; SENATORS meet and more is incomparable.

Sunil continues to serve, guide, train and mentor JC Leaders across the country. His firm belief that people can and must evolve to remain relevant and progressive drives his philosophy of life.
